In Burundi, BENY delivered a solar + storage + EV charging project supporting renewable-powered infrastructure. With strong solar resources and growing EV demand, local conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, and grid instability require reliable solutions.
The project combines DC fast charging advertising stations and an air-cooled energy storage system. The chargers provide up to 120 kW output with a 43-inch display, while the 100 kW / 230 kWh storage system helps stabilize power and balance solar energy. IP55 protection ensures reliable outdoor operation.
This project supports EV infrastructure development in Burundi and enables one of East Africa’s largest fully solar-powered EV fast charging networks, highlighting the potential of integrated solar, storage, and charging solutions.
