From July 3 to 5, Beny participated in the ASEAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY WEEK held in Bangkok, showcasing its advanced safety solutions for safeguarding photovoltaic (PV) systems. The spotlight was on its flagship products — rapid shutdown devices and PV components for secure DC power distribution and transmission — which attracted considerable attention from attendees.
In recent years, Thailand’s PV market has seen rapid growth. In 2023, Thailand added over 3,000 megawatts of new PV capacity, achieving an annual growth rate of approximately 10% for two consecutive years. The Thai government plans to increase the total PV capacity to 15.6 GW by 2037. In this context, Beny’s PV solutions are of significant importance, and can effectively enhance PV systems’ safety and stability.
At this exhibition, Beny highlighted its rapid shutdown solutions with the BFS-11B/12B and the monitoring system. These rapid shutdown devices can connect to one or two PV modules and reduce voltage to a safe level within microseconds when system failures occur. If the system overheats or there is an AC power loss, the RSDs will also take proactive measures to automatically shut down the modules.
What’s more, considering extreme cold and heat conditions, Beny has upgraded the operating temperature range of the products to -40°C to +85°C and equipped them with an IP68 protection rating to fully adapt to harsh environments. This product series has been certified by authoritative organizations such as CE and RoHS, ensuring superior performance and quality. Furthermore, with the monitoring system, customers can monitor the system’s operational status in real-time, facilitating system maintenance.
Additionally, Beny showcased its DC power transmission and distribution solutions, including combiner boxes, circuit breakers, surge protectors, and fuses. These devices provide management of multiple PV arrays and protection against overloads, overcurrents, and surges. Beny can also customize products such as combiner boxes according to the different configurations of PV power plants, maximizing the stability and safety of system operations.
Beny demonstrated its leading technologies and solutions by participating in the ASEAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY WEEK, reflecting its commitment to the Thai and Southeast Asian markets. In the future, it will continue to focus on developing and promoting more advanced PV safety technologies, contributing to the global advancement of clean energy, and promoting the adoption of sustainable energy.
